Amanda Dawson

Amanda has been a registered psychologist for over 10 years. During her career she has worked extensively with adolescents and adults in a variety of settings including secondary schools, local government & not for profit services, and private practice settings. Amanda aims to build a strong rapport with all of her clients & make the counselling process feel like a safe and non-judgmental space. Amanda draws on a range of frameworks including: psycho-education, Cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance & commitment therapy, solution focused therapy, mindfulness & relaxation strategies, and interpersonal skill building.
Megan Ranzenhofer
General Psychologist (Female)

Megan predominately works with young adults/adults across a range of presentations. She is particularly interested in working with anxiety and depressive disorders, as well as interpersonal/relational difficulties, grief/loss, trauma, PTSD, sleep issues, body image concerns and perfectionism.
Megan believes that feeling comfortable, valued and understood are key components to therapy. Subsequently, she is passionate about using a warm, non-judgemental and collaborative approach to help clients develop a deeper understanding of themselves, while empowering them by providing the necessary skills to manage their symptoms.
Megan’s therapeutic approach draws upon evidence-based modalities including CBT, ACT, Schema Therapy, DBT and self-compassion.
Outside of work, Megan enjoys travelling and has a keen interest in sport.

Paulene is highly motivated registered psychologist who works with adults (18+) with a wide range of presenting issues. She provides an integrative approach to therapy, and tailor interventions to client’s needs.
Paulene utilizes a range of evidence-based psychological treatments including but not limited to Solution Focussed Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. She is passionate about providing exceptional care, and approaches her work with warmth and compassion with an emphasis on building a strong therapeutic alliance.
Ringwood Psychologist Fees
The clinicians working with Ardent Psych are independent health practitioners and determine their own fees. Most clinicians use the below fee structure. Clinicians who use a different fee structure state this on their individual profiles.
General Psychologist
1 hour Appointment - In-Person / Telehealth-
Medicare Rebate with Mental Health Plan: $93.35

Clinical Psychologist

Payment processing fees 1.90% + $1.00
A payment processing fee is charged in addition to the price of the consult / fee.

M-F: Starting before 9am / Starting from 4pm or later. Sat / Sun / Public Holidays: All day.

Non-Attendance Fee $70 + GST
A Non-Attendance Fee will apply if patients do not attend their appointment / cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice. If you need to cancel / amend your appointment, you may do so up to 24 hrs prior to the appointment using the link in your confirmation email. If less than 24 hrs, Clients will be unable to cancel / reschedule online; and should contact Ardent Psych ASAP during business hours. The reason Client’s provide, and our ability to fill the appointment will determine if a Non-Attendance Fee will be charged.

Medicare Rebate
Medicare rebates apply when patients are referred under a Mental Health Care Plan and are eligible for Medicare rebates.

Appointment Duration 1 Hour
Appointments are 1 hour in duration, consisting of a 50 minute consultation and 10 minutes of administration time.

Switching from In-person to Telehealth
If you are unable to attend your In-person appointment, you may request your clinician to switch to Telehealth. In such cases, the usual In-person fee applies.

Work Cover
Ardent Psych does not process claims directly to the insurer at this time. Patient will be billed directly, and then need to claim back their rebate from their insurer. There will typically be a small out of pocket cost.

Provisional Psychologist Consult Cost: $85
Provisional Psychologists are not eligible for Medicare rebates. This fee represents your consult cost. Provisional psychologists are employees of Ardent Psych.

Accommodating Urgent Appointments and New Patients
If you have any questions / can’t find an appointment that suits, please don’t hesitate to call us! We really would like to help you succeed, and will endeavour to provide a timely appointment with a therapist who will meet your needs. For example, a psychologist may be willing to open an additional appointment to accommodate you – we can’t promise, but we are happy for you to ask and will do our best to help.
